Although life with God cannot be reduced to vision and mission statements, they can give us direction and resolve for developing our relationship with God and others. Our path follows in the words in Matthew 22
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbour as yourself
We firstly believe that God is love and he invites us to love Him and others. God’s love is what motivates us to worship, be discipled, disciple others, serve the church, and share the gospel to our neighbours.
In response to God’s love, Bridgeway is becoming a loving community which nurtures all people to be intentional passionate Christ-centred desciples. We aim to gather, worship and participate in God’s redemptive work in every part of life
Welcome to Bridgeway! Let us do all things for the glory of God and in His Love.

OUR VISION IS TO LOVE GOD & LOVE OTHERS.
Our Beliefs
The Bible is the Complete Truth
We stand firm in the authority of scripture. Truth demands our complete dedication in every aspect of life. The infallible Word of God—the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments—testify to God’s redemptive acts, leading to the incarnation of Jesus Christ. Guided by the Holy Spirit, the Bible is our ultimate authority on all matters it addresses.
Building upon this solid foundation, we proudly affirm these additional essentials of our faith:
God
Our belief centers on one God—the sovereign Creator and Sustainer of all things. Infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. To Him belongs all honor, glory, and praise for eternity.
Jesus Christ
We affirm Jesus Christ, the Living Word, who became flesh through a miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and a virgin birth. Fully God and fully man, He sacrificed Himself on the cross for our sins, fulfilling Scripture. On the third day, He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now serves as our High Priest and Mediator at the right hand of the Majesty on High.
Holy Spirit
We recognize the Holy Spirit’s vital role in glorifying Christ and applying His saving work to our lives. The Spirit convicts us of sin, draws us to the Savior, and resides within our hearts, granting us new life and empowering us with gifts for service. Guiding us into truth, the Spirit also seals us for redemption’s day.
Salvation and the Church
We acknowledge our estrangement from God and the condemnation brought by our sinful nature. However, our salvation hinges entirely on the boundless grace of God. It is He who, through His free grace, imputes His righteousness to those who place their trust solely in Christ for salvation, thus justifying them in His eyes. Only those who are born of the Holy Spirit and embrace Jesus Christ as their savior become children of God, inheriting eternal life as their birthright.
We anticipate the glorious return of Jesus Christ to the earth—a personal, visible, and bodily event. This return will mark the culmination of history and God’s eternal plan, where He will judge both the living and the dead.
The True church comprises of all individuals united through saving faith in Jesus Christ and the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit. While finding expression in local congregations, the Church, though imperfect, embodies purity in preaching the Word, integrity in administering sacraments, practicing scriptural discipline, and fostering loving fellowship. Her ultimate perfection awaits the triumphant return of our Lord.
Even so, come, Lord Jesus
What Now?
We uphold the command of the Lord Jesus Christ for all believers to boldly proclaim the Gospel across the globe and to disciple all nations. Embracing the Great Commission demands unwavering dedication to the one who sacrificed Himself for us out of love. We are summoned to a life marked by selfless love and dedicated service to others.
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them
